Gold Carbons
Rotocarb’s ProCarb-900 is positioned as the only commercial nut shell alternative to coconut shell activated carbon for gold processing. As a carbonaceous source, macadamia nut shell are hard. This is a property which carries through in the activation of the shell to yield a typical ball pan hardness of +97%.
Due to the large surface area realised in the bi-modal pore structure of the activated carbon (micro and meso pores), the carbon capacity loads well at extremely high rates.
The ProCarb-900 manufacturing process ensures thorough dedusting of the carbon while the sizing and screening methodology yields a low platelet count to ensure process losses in the gold circuit are kept to a minimum.
Rotocarb is able to offer custom sizing across the granular range to accommodate the customer’s specific requirements for their processing plants.
Rotocarb is proud to offer the market a sustainably produced activated carbon suitable for Carbon-In-Column (CIC) gold processing
